Is Cortona worth a day trip from Florence?
Ciao, from Louisville, KY. My husband and I are traveling with another couple. They are visiting Pisa and Lucca on a Saturday. We were thinking about going to Cortona instead. Advise?

Cortona is beautiful and worth a day trip from Florence; this small and characteristic Etruscan hill town offers one of the vastest and most beautiful panorama in Tuscany.
Near Cortona you may also pay a visit to the beautiful Montepulciano or to the Trasimeno Lake.
