Hi there, we live in Capri and are planning on hiring a car from Sorrento and driving to the Tuscany region middle of Feb 2021. We will be travelling with a 17 month old baby and need some help on best places to stay and what to do. Could you please assist us? we love wine and shopping … not much into art galleries and churches these days with a baby around now.

Ciao and thanks for coming here to ask travel advice! On your journey by car from Sorrento to Tuscany you may consider some stops on the way, especially to Rome and the southern part of Tuscany. My itinerary from Rome to Tuscany and back can be of help in planning your trip. The south of Tuscany is a great destination to stay for some days, there are really wonderful hill villages and a magic landscape, going more north you’ll find yourself immersed in probably the most fascinating part of the region, where nature is a true spectacle: The Val d’Orcia Valley.
