most scenic routes and towns from Rome to Florence
I am planning on driving from Rome to Florence, with my wife and 3 teenagers. I am leaving Rome at 8AM. I already have hotel reservations in Florence for the night.
Share with me the most scenic routes and towns to see in this time period. We do not care what time we get to hotel in Florence. Restaurant suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

To start with you could take a look at this road trip from Rome to Florence I suggest on the blog.
I would certainly choose the Val d’Orcia as your first stop. This scenic area of Tuscany is enchanting, full of ancient beautiful hill towns, and unique food and wines. Then go north to visit Siena, wonderful medieval town not to be missed. Then continue north and pass through Chianti before getting to Florence.
