Dear Elena,
we are planning to travel to tuscany by car from hungary in september with our children(5 years old and a baby 9 months). We would like to find a quiet small village ore town with nice landscape , restaurants, not far from the sea or a lake, but not the overcrowded beaches in north(Bibione…)i am in love with italian cuisine and Tuscan wines, so we plan to find a place to hide, in a bed and breakfast or appartement with pool, and we would like to travel around.Would you be so kind as to giving us some advice ?! I thought originally a little village with typical tuscan houses and slow life…
thank you for your kindness
Glad to help you!
A little village with typical tuscan houses in stone and bricks, slow life, great wines, local specialities, views, and only minutes away from the seaside, is the charming hill town of Bolgheri. This small village on the Etruscan Coast is really enchanting and is located more south the region. The near beach at Marina di Castagneto Carducci is very ample, sandy and with clear waters, ideal also for children.
Take a look at the link and let me know what you think.
A further option farthest south of Tuscany, is the small hill town of Capalbio, again a real jewel and very characteristic. The coast is few kilometers away and the beach is again sandy.
Feel free to ask again!
Have a nice day,
elena
