How feasible is to drive from Florence to Rome over a 2 day period? What are the best food and wine stops to make along the way? Please include best places to stay as well! We are also going to Cinque Terra for 2 days. Do you have any recommendations of where to stay there that have charm and have a great view? Thank you so much!

Hello,
A road trip from Florence to Rome in 2 days is absolutely doable! the route if full of great places to visit with great food and wine stops.
Montepulciano and Pienza in Val d’Orcia are incredible places to visit and to stay at. You might consider the wonderful Hotelito Lupaia or Relais la Saracina.
Maybe you could consider spending the first night in the wonderful center of Siena at the charming Relais Campo Regio and tehn continue south to Val d’Orcia.
Before getting to Rome, Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio might be on your itinerary. My suggested road trip from Rome to Tuscany and back can give you further ideas.
As for the Cinque Terre, I suggest staying at La Torretta, with rooms and apartments with wonderful sea view.
I remain at your disposal,
Have a nice weekend,
elena
