Hello
My husband and I are traveling to Florence at the end of October to visit our daughter in Florence where she is attending the University. We are planning on staying in Florence for 5 nights then traveling to Venice for 2 nights. We love food and wine and would like to include a visit to Tuscany. Any suggestions on great day trips from Florence and would you recommend adding another night to Venice?

5 nights in Florence are the right time to enjoy both Florence and some of the best destinations across Tuscany.
Some great day trips from Florence I’d recommend are certainly Siena, San Gimignano, Lucca, and Pisa. Here is a full list of the best day trips to take from Florence and these are more destinations closer to Florence.
I think 2 nights in Venice are ok, though the place is so beautiful and enchanting that you may probably want to stay more
