Dear Elena,
I am writing from a concierge company and we have a Vip client who will stay at Borgo Santo Pietro next weekend.
He asked us for a very special and romantic program around the area such a pic nic in a special place…or something to impress his girlfriend…
Can you please help us ?
We adviced him to visit San Gimignano and Siena, for now.
Thank you very much!!!
Kind regards
Tuscany really offers lots of opportunities for a special and romantic program.
Right next to Borgo Santo Pietro is San Galgano Abbey, incredibly suggestive and romantic place to visit, famous for its sword in the stone. Definitely a place to visit, though no events are planned for now as they usually take place during summer.
You could organize the picnic at Castiglion del Bosco in Montalcino, definitely a special place!
Of course San Gimignano and Siena are must see, together with Florence. Suggest them to visit the Val d’Orcia Natural Park, southeast of Borgo Santo Pietro. The landscape itself is very romantic, together with the various amazing hill towns like Montalcino, Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, and Montepulciano. I love the Val d’Orcia! Its unique landscape and endless views, its picturesque hill towns, castles, farmhouses….and amazing food and wines. I suggest them to pass there one night or two at some fantastic place with thermal baths.
This area is rich in wonderful thermal springs. The lovely Bagno Vignoni, small and very characteristic thermal village, is very romantic, Hotel and Spa Adler Thermae is a stunning place to stay!
The Castello di Velona in Montalcino is one of the best places to stay in Italy: breathtaking scenery, indoor and outdoor thermal pools with view! That’s actually the place to impress his girlfriend!
For any other suggestion, just contact me again,
Kind regards,
elena
