Hi! My wife and I will be arriving in Florence from Milan midday on Saturday June 6th. Our initial plans are to stay in Florence until Monday and then pick up a rental car and drive down to the Siena area with the game plan ending up back in Florence on the 14th to catch a train up to Trento (good friends live there) We were in Florence once during a cruise and we saw the Uffizi and spent some time in the city so we do not need to see the Uffizi again. I am hoping to make the best of seeing what we can Saturday afternoon through Monday Morning, recognizing that we will face limitations with open hours on Sunday and Monday. Once we see Siena I am debating whether to just spend a couple of days there with day trips and then make our way into Umbria to see a few places or just use Siena as a base to visit the towns of Southern Tuscany? I could use your advice (as you can see we are leaving Pisa and Lucca off of our itinerary.) Thanks in advance!
