which villages to see

Dear Elena,
Thank you so much for such a website full of useful information.
It is a pity I found out your site after I have made hotel arrangements. We are very interested to see villages and enjoy the slow life in the region. I have already made some picks but it would be great if you help us to use our limited time effectively.
We will fly in to Bologna and rent a car from there. Then we will stay two nights at Fattoria Poggio al Sorbo and one night at Borgo Casato and then one final night at Villa Betania to catch our morning flight from Bologna next morning.
Once again thank you so much for your excellent site. It is the most informative one about the region I have encountered and will definitely recommend to friends visiting Tuscany.

Hi Cem,
Many thanks for your nice message, I’m very happy you like my site
Tuscany is the perfect destinations for scenic villages where to enjoy slow life.
Poggio al Sorbo is in Chianti, that is quite full of lovely villages to visit, like the little yet charming Montefioralle. Among the day trips to make from Chianti, don’t miss the wonderful San Gimignano, famous for its medieval towers, and possibly also the lovely Monteriggioni.
Borgo Casato is more near Siena, whose province is where are some of the most beautiful and scenic villages of Tuscany. You may go south of Siena to visit Montepulciano, Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, and Montalcino, all amazing.
Of course you have not many days at your disposal, so you’ll probably have to skip some village.
Feel free to contact me again,
Have a nice holiday,
elena
