Hi Elena! First off we LOVE your blog- and couldn\’t help but ask for personal advice for our trip!My boyfriend and I are heading to Italy from the 20-30 of November (Unfortunately it was the only time we could get off from work). Our flight gets in to Rome and leaves Verona. Right now:Nights 1/2 – Rome**NIGHTS 3-6 Split between Florence & Tuscan Wine Country** Night 7- BolognaNight 8/9- VeniceNight 10- VeronaMy boyfriend has been to the major cities (Rome/Venice/Florence) however, hasn\’t experienced the Tuscan countryside. I would love to see a castle as well as we LOVE wine tasting and we are both self proclaimed \”foodies\” however, we are on the young & more adventurous side than a big bus guided tour. Obviously it is such a short time to see such a magnificent place! Originally we were thinking two nights in Florence then renting a car to visit/stay two more cities before heading north. I am completely overwhelmed making a choice on where to spend those 4 nights! Any suggestions?? Thank you for your help! I can\’t wait for my first experience in Italy!
thanks a lot for coming here!
Your Italian tour is full of beautiful and amazing sights You will love Italy!
How to spend 4 nights in Tuscany at its best? Of course 1 or 2 night in Florence are a must, then I would certainly rent a car and start to explore the wonders in the countryside, starting from Chianti and San Gimignano, where you can spend a further night, and then visit the stunning Siena and possibly some amazing hill towns south of Siena, like Pienza in Val d’Orcia.
Chianti is full of beautiful castles as is the Val d’Orcia, in many of them you can even sleep, as in the case of Castello di Meleto or Castello di Spaltenna.
Let me know if you have any more question,
Have a nice day,
elena
