3 days visiting small Villages and Towns in Tuscany
I have 3 days to leave Florence visiting small interesting Villages and Towns in Tuscany then return to Florence Peretola Airport by 12 noon on the fourth day. I have a car booked but would like to stay away from the large Towns unless you insist and enjoy the Beautiful Country Side and Historic Towns. We would like to pre-book our Accommodation and hope to stay in some quaint properties and eat and drink local produce in the restaurants. We would like to see the major attraction-Building, Restaurant or even Local Celebration or Show etc, in each Town. But most of all we would like to meet the people of the region. Can you help?

You will really love visiting small interesting villages and towns across Tuscany!
There are lots of them! and all are impressive
It’s enough you leave Florence for the countryside towards the Chianti wine area, and be sure to stay away from the crowds.
Your first stop should actually be Chianti, where you’ll find verdant countryside with high hills, forests and vineyards, as well as charming hill towns like Gaiole and Castellina in Chianti. Many are the places where you can taste fine wines, and driving on the Chiantigiana curvy road will fill you with joy! You may spend here one night and also visit the famous medieval town with many towers, San Gimignano!
Pass the rest of your time in the fabulous countryside south of Siena, the famous wine area known by the name of Val d’Orcia Natural Park. This is a protected area of immense natural beauty. Here the medieval villages are really spectacular, their beauty is impressive together with the unique panorama they offer. Montalcino, Pienza, Bagno Vignoni, Montepulciano are all must see, together with other many stunning hamlets you could visit from there, like Cortona, Arezzo, and, a bit further south, Pitigliano, Sorano and Sovana.

Some properties I would recommend are Palazzo Squarcialupi and Castello di Meleto in Chianti, and theLocanda del Loggiato and Agriturismo Cretaiole in Val d’Orcia. For more property recommendations check here in the blog.
