Hi,
Me and my cousin would love to go to Tuscany this June and/or august.
We love the magnificent hill villages and the marvelous nature we would like to find a place that has that magic nature but also a good beach.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!
Best Regards,
Aleksandra and Natali
I’m happy to give some advice for your summer trip to Tuscany!
The Maremma area in southern Tuscany is the best place I’d recommend as it possesses all: magnificent hill villages, marvelous and unspoiled nature, and beautiful beaches.
Maremma is quite a vast area and boasts lots of fantastic beaches. One is certainly in Castiglion della Pescaia, wonderful fishing village facing the sea with a fantastic long sandy beach with clear waters!
Another beautiful beach all surrounded by a wild nature with pinewoods, is known as Cala Violina, reached through a path amid the spectacular nature of the Natural Park of the Maremma.
If you then move a bit further south, Monte Argentario would be your destination! This spectacular promontory on the sea reveals unexpected magic places. You can find both rocky and sandy beaches, while the panorama over the sea is breathtaking.
Monte Argentario can be a great spot for moving inland to explore some fabulous hill towns, like Capalbio, Magliano in Toscana, Manciano, Saturnia (famous for its thermal baths), Scansano and Pitigliano; this last the most impressive and suggestive of all.
In this blog post I make a list of the best Tuscan beaches and show them on the map, hope this helps.
If you have any more questions, just get back!
Have a nice evening,
elena
