In addition, I so LOVE Italy. I have been there 3 times and want to go back again in the not-so-distant future. In addition to Rome, I have stayed at or visited Rimini, San Marino, Pescara, Florence, etc. I have gone to Rimini a few times because there is one excellent bike hotel there that offers the best biking/accommodation package and their food (all included with price) is just heavenly. If I could, I would stay permanently in Italy!!!
For my next trip, I would love to focus more on the Tuscany Region, staying for about a month or so. I would also love to include Calabria, Puglia as part of the visit, if possible.
I love cycling and hiking, nature and the outdoors. For future blogs, will you be able to include where an outdoor enthusiast such as myself can go for big hikes or bike rides? Are trails well-marked? Are there lots of bike rental stores in the area?
Is there any way for me to stay longer, on a work-for-stay arrangement, i.e. I work for someone in a farm (no pay) and I can stay for food and accommodation? I just want to explore this as another option.
In any case, keep up the good work and the excellent writing!
Regards,
Kathleen Reguindin
Many thanks for contacting me! I’m really very happy you love my blog
Italy is actually beautiful! I love Rimini too
For your next trip to Italy and Tuscany, you may get some ideas from this recent post on the blog dedicated to the best tour across Italy.
Thanks to its amazing nature and impressive outdoors, Tuscany is one of the best places to be for cycling and hiking! I promise I’ll soon dedicate a post to the topic For now you may have a look at these useful links:

Tuscany is full of bike lovers, there are a lot of bike rental stores, and you may also consider some great bike tour.
As far as a work-for-stay arrangement, my suggestion is you try to ask directly to various farms’ owners.
Let me know if I can be of further help, and thanks again for your email!
Enjoy the weekend!
