Hi,
I am an university student who is planning a trip to Tuscany for four days and your website has been incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for creating website for Tuscany, other popular travel website usually just go for typical places like Rome or Venice.
Can I just ask you a couple of questions about getting around Tuscany. So my plan is to stay in Sienna and travel to Chianti and San Gimignano  and Volterra on one day and the other day to Val D’Orcia by renting scooter. But I am not sure whether renting a scooter is a smart choice because there is a lot of places I would like to see in these villages and I dont know if there is a safe parking place for scooter? Or is this troublesome to travel around with a scooter?
Also, I would like to go for wine tasting in Chianti but there are so many options. And I would prefer not to go with tour or to expensive wine cellars because I am still a student so my budget is kind of limited. Do you have any recommendations by any chance?
Thank you very much for your time,
Great website! Cant express how thankful I am haha

Dear Hoa,
Thanks a lot for your nice message! I’m very happy to hear you found my blog helpful
I’m glad to give some advice for your trip to Tuscany. Touring Tuscany by scooter is a great idea, especially to tour Chianti or make day trips from Siena. No problems for safe parking areas.
Consider that reaching Val d’Orcia from Siena take about 1 hour depending where you’re visiting. Of course I’d not recommend a scooter for longer distances. On a scooter you can also really enjoy the Tuscan landscape! Did you have the chance to read my recommendations for the best day trips from Siena? For wine tastings in Chianti I recommend the following cellars set in stunning locations:
Badia a Coltibuono
Badia a Passignano
However, feel free to stop at any time along the route, Chianti has lots of farms and wineries, just stop and taste! Feel free to contact me for any other help needed!
Ciao from Florence!
